What’s up with Britney?
Every time I hear someone say, “Being rich doesn’t make you happy,” I usually hear someone else respond, “I wouldn’t mind finding out for myself.”
A recent study says one of the top goals for people ages 18-25 is to get rich and famous. Britney Spears is rich and famous. But as of this writing the pop princess is getting slammed in the media for shaving her head. The bizarre incident was one of a string that have people wondering, What’s up with Britney? She’s made headlines lately for her divorce, driving around Malibu with her baby son on her lap, throwing temper tantrums and club hopping.
Some people have speculated that each episode is a ploy to get back in the spotlight. Others say she needs psychiatric help. It’s obvious something is amiss or missing in her life.
A few years ago it seemed everyone — especially the media — loved Britney no matter what she did. Take the kiss with Madonna at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards for instance. For that weird stunt Britney was lauded for her bravery, creativity and open-mindedness. But today she is ridiculed and pitied by the ones who once loved her.
There are lessons to be learned from Britney’s situation. First, the masses are a fickle bunch who love you one moment and hate you the next — so don’t put too much stock in what they say. Second, and most importantly, if you feel there is something missing in your life it’s not money — it’s probably a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you would like to make Jesus your Savior and experience true prosperity go to the ABCs of salvation to find out how.
As for Britney ... just pray for her.
