The best Christmas ever
If Christmas 2008 were your last Christmas would you:
Be more generous? Drink more eggnog? Spend more time talking
about the important things in life? Ask where the gift receipt was? Attend a
Christmas Eve service? Rush from mall to mall? Go into debt to buy presents?
Tell people the real reason you celebrate Christmas? Volunteer in a soup
kitchen? Watch the Los Angeles Lakers play? Make a gingerbread house? Go
sledding? Pray for a white Christmas? Watch It’s a Wonderful Life? Go to church
on Christmas morning? Cry for absent loved ones? Give thanks? Tear into
presents? Write a Christmas letter? Read the biblical story of Jesus’ birth?
Trim a tree? Wait in long lines? Tell those you love that you love them? Attend
your company’s Christmas party? Take your neighbors a plate of cookies? Thank
God for sending His Son to Earth? Work so hard for the perfect family picture?
Flip through department store catalogues? Complain and gripe so much? Sing
carols? Take your kids to see Santa? Eat fruitcake? Pray for peace? Gather with
your family for Christmas dinner? Put lights and wreaths on your house? Care
what you received?
No matter what you would do, perhaps the most pressing
question would be — would you have any regrets? Especially spiritual
If so, you can change that — there are still four more
days to do so.
