Jan. 15, 2010 - Saved Through Acceptance

By Scott McChrystal

“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3,4, NIV).

Good leaders are motivated by a sincere concern for the welfare of all soldiers under their command. No leaders worth their salt can think differently.

With nearly 7 billion souls on this planet, it seems utterly impossible for us as humans to care deeply about every single person. Truthfully, it can seem hard to care about a nearby neighbor that you don’t know. Even more difficult is caring about people who don’t like you or who have mistreated you.

Thankfully, the Lord doesn’t struggle with our human limitations. God, as Commander-in-Chief over all creation, loves every single person around this world. This includes you.

The Lord cares enough to tell you the truth. Though your sins have separated you from God, the truth is that you can be saved through your acceptance of His Son, Jesus Christ.

The ball is in your court. Have you accepted Him?
