September 25, 2013 - Wisdom From God

By Scott McChrystal

"Men of all nations came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom" (1 Kings 4:34, NIV).

Warfare continues to grow more complex. Somehow leaders on the modern battlefield must be able to extract critical data from the abundance of available knowledge and use it to make the right decisions. This requires wisdom.

Wisdom is the right application of knowledge. History is replete with military leaders who had knowledge but who were defeated. Why? They lacked wisdom.

Nearly 3,000 years ago people from everywhere sought Solomon's wisdom. He had more than anyone.

What was the source of Solomon's unprecedented wisdom? Solomon's wisdom came from God (1 Kings 4:29).

Today’s world is complex, and we desperately need God's wisdom. Wisdom from God is available. We simply have to ask Him.
