April 18, 2014 - God's Mission

By Scott McChrystal

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me — the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace" (Acts 20:24, NIV).

In military operations, the cost required for mission success can be high — very high.

As soldiers, the cause we serve is freedom for our nation. We will fight to keep it free. If necessary, we will even die for it. Many have.

The apostle Paul had a mission from God — to tell others about the grace of God through Jesus Christ. As the verse states, Paul was even willing to give his life to accomplish his mission.

Think about it. What cost are you willing to pay to accomplish God's mission (will) in your life?

God has a mission for you! With His help, you can accomplish it.
