Fruit of the Spirit: Patience

Truth Verse
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” — Romans 8:25

Patience is waiting with a good attitude, whether we’re waiting on circumstances or on other people. When we show patience, we don’t complain.

We can show patience through our attitude when we wait happily and don’t get in a hurry. We also show patience in our actions toward others. When we’re good at something and someone else isn’t, it’s time for us to show patience. When things don’t go our way, we can choose patience instead of getting angry. There are many times when we need patience.

How does the Holy Spirit help us have more patience? True patience takes time to develop, but our patience will grow and get easier as we get closer to God. By spending more time praying, reading the Bible, and asking the Holy Spirit to lead us, we gain patience.
