The other day while walking down a corridor in a public building, I saw what appeared to be someone walking toward me. On coming closer, I found it was my own reflection in a huge mirror. For a moment it frightened me. Somehow a full-length reflection of one’s self is a startling thing. ...

Hey Kids!

Oct. 26, 2014

Did you know the first Kids Page appeared in the January 11, 2009, Pentecostal Evangel? That was more than five years ago — a huge amount of time for a kid, or a purple-feathered bird like me! Think how much our lives have changed in that time.

But no matter how much things around us change, the truths from God’s Word that you can read on the Evangel Kids Page never change. The more you study the Bible and take to heart its teachings, the better prepared you will be for anything that comes your way as you grow up.

That first Kids Page, “Snow Day!” can be found in this issue on page 6. You’ll also find 17 other great selections from the many pages author Christina Quick wrote through the years.

Ever wondered just how big a blue whale can get? You can find out on page 27. Did you know astronaut Charlie Duke was the 10th man to walk on the moon? You can find his story on page 25. You can also read about outer space and eclipses and okapis and mountain goats and buried treasure and presidents’ faces carved on a mountainside.

Find the articles and activities you enjoy the most and talk about them with your friends. And if some of your friends don’t know that God sent His Son Jesus to save us, be sure to tell ?them that too.
